“OnSite" opening July 10th and running through October 2016 at the Katonah Museum of Art.
I’m happy to be doing a large scale drawing and sculptural installation as well as a new series of cement on paper works as part of show. This new installation piece will encompass the entrance and main hall and then "move through” the building into another gallery’s large window corner, diagonally. Giving the viewer a feeling that the building is attempting to reconstruct itself from the inside. As well as the perception of transforming out through a set of large windows. The imagery is based on the Katonah’s museum building itself, Architect Edward Larrabee Barnes in combination with Gropius and Breuer to examine the end of modernist visual vocabulary and pushes through a lense of Metabolist theory and towards a visual response to the actual site of the museum and landscape.
